Hallie Davis
Hi! My name is Hallie Davis and I am so excited to be part of the Kellyville First Grade Team! More importantly, I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I wanted to share a few things about me.
I am originally from Jenks and have lived in Wyoming and Arkansas as well. I have one younger brother who lives in Texas. My parents live in Idaho where they pastor a church. When I graduated from High School in Arkansas I attended a few different colleges on my way to majoring in Early Childhood Education. I attended North Arkansas College and Arkansas Tech University. I was so excited to finally graduate so I could start teaching! I taught Children’s Church at my church in Arkansas for 3 years and worked at a daycare before moving back to Oklahoma. This is my eighth year teaching and I have been here in Kellyville all eight years. I taught Pre-K for three years and this is my fifth year in first grade.

I believe a good learning experience is built on cooperation and communication so keeping the communication open between home and school is very important to me. I will keep you informed periodically about your child’s progress. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You may reach me at school by calling 918-247-6300 or by email davish@kellyvilleschools.org. I will use different forms of communication, such as newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, and report cards.
My main goal for this year is to assist your child in success. We will be focusing heavily on reading and math this year, while integrating writing, spelling, grammar, science, and social studies. Reading to and with your child daily is one of the most valuable gifts you can give him/her. We will be reading as much as we can throughout the year. I believe if you can read, everything else in school, and life, is a lot easier. Also, talking with your child about school is a wonderful way to show your support and interest in his/her education.
I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I want your child’s first grade year to be a positive experience for everyone.
