Alysa Ernst

Hello! My name is Alysa Ernst and I am so excited to teach Kindergarten this year. I graduated from Northeastern State University in December 2010 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation I worked for Head Start in Tulsa as a Lead Teacher, and most recently, a Parent Educator. This is my 8th year in Kellyville and I love it! I greatly value the role of parents in education, as positive teacher/parent communication is a vital part of student success. You are a welcome part of our classroom, and I hope you share ideas with me.

As a mother myself, I know life is busy and hectic, so I will not usually send many assignments home. I do request that you read for 15 minutes together and occasionally complete an assignment. Great ways to help your child flourish in school are reading and discussing what you read, asking open ended questions, finding letters and words on restaurant menus and magazines, and showing interest in your child's day.

I am excited to be a part of your child's year, and look forward to collaborating with you. Throughout the year I will send home newsletters, progress notes, and other communications to keep you informed on the "Kindergarten happenings." Please don't hesitate to call or email me with questions and ideas. I can be reached at school at 918-247-6133, or via email at
